Beijing. The exhibition “Serie Fuori Serie” curated by Andrea Branzi and organised by the Directorate General of Mibact Museums (Ministry of Culture, Activities, and Tourism) in collaboration with the Triennale di Milano Foundation, opens today at the National Museum of China in Beijing. This exhibition intends to illustrate “Italian design” through the original relations between design and production.120 pieces of Italian design are showcased to feature a dynamic circuit where industrial production is propelled by the most advanced and independent experiments and research in design and vice versa. The latter thrives in a productive context that also includes the ‘limited edition’ prototype and the unique piece. “Serie Fuori Serie excellently interprets the necessity to not only look to heritage from the past, but to also consider the culture in various important sectors of Italian creativity such as fashion, food, and design for which our country is known for and loved by the rest of the world. ” (9Colonne)
