Moscow – The exhibition “Venice of the Renaissance: Tiziano, Tintoretto, Veronese” was inaugurated in Moscow on June 9. The exhibition, which runs until August 20, has been set up at the Museum of Fine Arts “A.S. Puškin. “It will highlight both the different interpretations of religious and mythological subjects, handled through the keys of sensuality and color, and the portraiture of the three masters, and will be a unique opportunity to compare some of their greatest masterpieces. The exhibition project also aims to question the assumption of the alleged rivalries between these artists, attempting instead to emphasize through a comparative method the similarities and peculiarities of the style and the artistic language of each and insert their activity into the correct historical, Social and economic coordinates. The exhibition curation is entrusted to Viktoria Markova, curator of the Italian Painting Department at the Puškin Museum and Thomas Dalla Costa, Save Venice Inc. Research Fellow and a 16th Century Venetian art specialist under the scientific direction of Prof. Bernard Aikema, of the University of Verona. (9colonne)
