Sofia. Andrea De Sica, a young Italian director, and the grandson of the great Vittorio De Sica, will be a member of the jury in the second edition of the Burgas International Film Festival, which will take place from July 22-29 in Bulgaria. Andrea, son of Manuel and nephew of Vittorio De Sica, debuts as a 34-year-old director with his film “I figli della notte” (The Children of the Night) (2016). As the Sofia Italian Institute of Culture – collaborator of the Film Festival – De Sica has had a long career starting with acting, followed by making short films, documentaries, and a TV series for children. His grandfather’s film were a great inspiration, even though he never met him. His first film (The Children of the Night) will be screened i Bulgaria on July 26th at 21:30 at the Ohlyuva Summer Theatre in Morsko Kazino in Burgas. (9Colonne)
