Sarajevo. On Saturday, July 22, the photographic exhibition ‘The Museum in Closed’ will be inaugurated in Sarajevo. The project, sponsored by the Italian Embassy to Sarajevo, features 31 photographs taken by Italian photographer Emanuele Mascioni during his travels to Northern Europe, Texas, Italy, and above all, the Balkans. The exhibition takes place in the city where it all began. During a trip to Sarajevo in 2012, Mascioni was struce by the sign “The Museum is Closed” outside the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzeeovina. Without knowing the reason, he took the first picture of what would become his collection. (9Colonne)
