Tripoli. The United Nations agency, World Food Program (WFP), thanks the Italian government for its contribution of one million euros to help provide tens of thousands of Libyans affected by the ongoing conflict since 2011. “We thank Italy its generous contribution to the WFP emergency operation in Libya, which will help alleviate the suffering of people living difficult conditions such as low access to food and life-saving care” said Wagdi Othman, Director of WFP in Libya. This is Italy’s second donation to the WFP food assistance programmes in Libya in the 2016-2017 period. (9Colonne)
