(4 August 2017) The Undersecretary of State for Economic Development, Ivan Scalfarotto and the Mayor of Chengdu Luo Qiang, signed a declaration of intent for the construction of an Italian-Chinese District for Culture and Innovation in the presence of the Italian Ambassador to Beijing, Ettore Sequi and the delegation of the Italian Consulate in Chongqing headed by the Consul General Sergio Maffettone. Scalfarotto underlined the connections between China and Italy at the third International Congqinq-Italy Forum on Automotive, Transportation, and Logistics in Chongqinq. He then answered questions from the Chinese press, restating Italy’s commitment to deepen the collaborations in the automotive sector with the City of Congqing. Scalfarotto posted on Facebook before leaving for his 8th trip to China: “we continue to build an important and true commercial relation with China”. (Red)
