Venzone. “The network of the beautiful ‘borghi’ (villages) of Friuli Venezia Giulia interprets the key to our country’s success: cultural tourism, understood as the ability to combine beauty with modernity, history, and culture with a new way of welcoming”. With these words, the vice-president of Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, Sergio Bolzonello, opened the encounter with art critic Vittorio Sgarbi, who was a guest at Venzone of the “Il Borgo dei Borghi”. The event celebrated the national title recognised at Venzone by the Rai programme “Alle Falde del Kilimangiaro”, involving other nine beautiful villages of Friuli Venezia Giulia: Clauiano, Cordovado, Fagagna, Gradisca d’Isonzo, Poffabro, Polcenigo, Sesto al Reghena, Toppo, and Valvasone.
