Khartoum – The Italian government’s commitment to protecting vulnerable children goes on with the launch of the “Integrated child protection in favor of abandoned children and unaccompanied minors in the state of Khartoum and the Eastern States”. The program, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), for a total amount of € 1,000,000, will be implemented by the Unicef Agency in close collaboration with Khartoum’s Aics headquarters. The initiative seeks to strengthen child protection mechanisms for unaccompanied migrant children, exposed to the risks associated with the migratory phenomenon and trafficking in human beings.
