Osaka. Osaka’s Italian Institute of Culture will host Laura Galvagno’s “Voci e colori della natura” (Voices and Colours of Nature) exhibition from September 15th to October 12th (inauguration: September 15th – 17th). Laura Galvagno was born in Venice and is a self-taught Italian painter based in Kobe. Her abstract paintings are deeply inspired by nature. She paints with leaves, twigs, her hands and fingers, and rarely uses a paint brush. Her small paintings are mostly acrylic on watercolour paper. They are filled with different colours that manifest themselves as a subtle final balance between random touches and “brushstrokes” and a contemplated chromatic juxtaposition. (9Colonne)
