Riga. The Italian Embassy in Riga published the calendar for the 2017-2018 season dedicated to Italian cinema, an initiative established with the aim to offer Italian residents entertainment and to share Italian culture with other nationalities through the screening of Italian films or that are related to Italy. All the film screenings are in Italian with possible subtitles in various languages based on the audience’s needs. The first screening will take place on October 17th with “Il giovane favoloso” by Mario Martone which will also introduce the Week of Italian Language. The calendar will continue until next June 7th with the last film being “I Malavoglia” by Pasquale Scimeca, closing the Italian cinema season in Riga. (9colonne)
