Montreal – Culture of traditions, music and entertainment with the Messinesi Association of Montreal in Canada during the recent concerts by “Atmosfera Blu”. During the last concert the President Franco Mendolia, solemnly received by the Consul Marco Riccardo Rusconi, the coveted Knight of the Order of the Star, granted by the President of the Italian Republic upon the proposal of the Minister of Foreign Affairs “for promoting friendship and collaboration between Italy and Canada”. Mendolia, a prominent figure of the Italian community in Montreal and correspondent of the Progetto Sicilia nel Mondo (Siclians in the World Project), together with other important Canadian organisations and the Italian community, hosted the band “Atmosfera Blu” for a tour comprising of three concerts: “It was a beautiful experience to receive the knighthood in a moment of celebration dedicated to our community. For the second time, my Association requested the ‘Atmosfera Blu’ in Canada and we are happy for the appreciation and success. The band from Messina returned to Montreal after about a year and a half. As soon as the news spread, the Italian community gathered around the band to experience once again good Italian and international music “. The “Atmosfera Blu” have trodden the stages of two major theatres in Montreal already: the Theatre des Jardins of Ville La Salle and the Mirella and Lino Saputo Theatre at the Leonardo Da Vinci Centre.
