Brussels. The Unioncamere of Veneto-Europsportello delegation office took part, December 6, in the reception hosted by Elena Basile, Italian Ambassador in Brussels at the Residence of the Embassy in Belgium. The reception was organised by the Prosecco DOC Consortium in the presence of President Stefano Zanette. Ambassador Elena Basile underlined the incredible success of Prosecco, the flagship of the ‘Made in Italy’, that wisely combines respect for tradition and regional characteristics with the most innovative technologies – it is a tangible example of the very high quality of Italian products. The ‘Made in Italy’ can only be associated with the idea of quality in the food sector. In the case of Prosecco – which has obtained the Controlled Denomination of Origin (DOC) in 2009 – quality is also accompanied by quantity: the Prosecco is in fact the most exported Italian wine in the world with an extraordinary performance which, from 2010 to 2016, increased approximately by 20%.
