Mexico City. SIMEST – a company that along with SACE is the export and internationalisation hub of the CDP Group – once again supports the Bomi Group of Vaprio D’Adda (MI), a leader in the biomedical logistics sector, in Latin America. After joining the Italian group in Chile in 2014, SIMEST entered two other subsidiaries in Brazil and Mexico. Simest’s total investment amounts to €6 million and is aimed at supporting the 2017-2020 business plan, which has among its main objectives, expansion in the LATAM area – a market with a high growth potential. In particular, also thanks to the support of SIMEST, Bomi acquired Biomedical Distribution Mercosur’s capital (already 55% owned) in Brazil which is a leader in the local biomedical logistics market. In Mexico, the partnership with SIMEST will help Bomi to develop its presence in the Mexican market through the newly acquired company Especialistas en Almacenaje y Distribución, already active in the healthcare product logistics sector.
