New York – Andrea Bocelli closes the year 2017 with another big hit: two sold out concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York – the temple of international music – with standing ovations and long applauses. Bocelli has had an extaordinary year that – only in the last few weeks – including an invitation to Nasdaq as the first Italian signer to open the trading day in Times Square; and a duet with the ‘king of pop’ Ed Sheeran with “Perfect Symphony”. The music video remains firm in 1st place with more than 17 million views in 48 hours. In addition to these, is his memorable concert at the Colosseum in Rome in September, organised by Bocelli himself for the charity event “Celebrity Fight Night Italy” featuring an international cast that included names such as Elton John and Steven Tyler; and “La music del Silenzio”, a film entirely based on his life directed by Michael Redford with Antonio Banderas and Toby Sebastian in cinemas and on Rai Uno with more than 6 million viewers. December 21st, Bocelli will be in Miami for a concert in favour of his foundation, on an MSC ship, along with 60 Haitian kids – possible thanks to Fondazione Andrea Bocelli which for years has operated in many different areas in partnership with Saint Luc.
