Tokyo – On October 18th, the Umberto Agnelli Auditorium of the Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo will host the “Recital Italiano” of the duo composed of the Friulian trumpeter Ottaviano Cristofoli and the Japanese pianist Doremi Takahashi. From the famous Verdi arias arranged by JB Arban to the contemporaries Biscione and Gatto, the duo’s program follows the evolution of the instrument from the cornet to the modern trumpet, with a surprise by the composer Ito Yasuhide for flugelhorn and piano. The concert is part of the initiatives organized as part of the Week of the Italian Language in the World. (9colonne)
