Istanbul. The Emilia Zamuner Quartet Jazz concert will be held at the Italian Institute of Culture on Thursday, April 5th. The jazz quartet, composed of Emilia Zamuner on vocals, Mino Lanzieri on guitar, Antonio Napolitano on double bass and Massimo del Pezzo on drums, intends to focus on the idea of ‘tradition’ as a means by which musicians – even by the specificities of each – can be merged into a single jazz voice. Traditions – understood as research among different cultures – summarise the sound and background of each member of the quartet. For this reason, as in the style of the group, there are no dominant styles and the transition between bossa nova, standard jazz, traditional Italian songs, and electronic music, is fluid. The goal is to offer a multifaceted concert, which can guide the audience on a journey through time and space. (9Colonne)
