After her debut album for solo piano, “Il Silenzio delle Stelle” (Sony Music) and after her pieces have been featured in the documentaries “L ‘amore dopo la tempesta”, “Montecassino perché”, “Papaveri Rossi” and “Come manna dal cielo” by journalist and historian, Roberto Olla (aired on Rai 1); pianist and composer Giuseppina Torre created the soundtrack of the documentary on the first book written by a Pontiff about art, “Papa Francesco – La Mia Idea di Arte”, by journalist and writer, Tiziana Lupi. The documentary, on sale in bookstores and in traditional and digital music stores, is a journey through the Vatican Museums, St. Peter’s Square and the Vatican Basilica guided by the voice of the Holy Father to discover his exciting idea of art as an instrument of evangelisation and fight against throwaway culture. Pope Francis in the documentary is accompanied by music composed ad hoc by Giuseppina Torre. Winner of four Los Angeles Music Awards, two International Music and Entertainment Awards, and two Akademia Awards of Los Angeles, Giuseppina Torre is an example of Italian excellence who has won admiration and support overseas faster than in her country. She was discovered by the organisers of the Los Angeles Music Awards thanks to a song she uploaded on iTunes. In just a short time, Giuseppina Torre was known all over the United States. She then embarked on a rising path that led her to perform with directors Sorrentino, Bertolucci, and Muccino during her stay in the United States, and brought her fame in Italy.
