Paris. The fourth event of the “How Italy has changed: the Metamorphosis of Landscapes”, organized for the seventieth anniversary of the Italian Constitution, will be held on April 18th at the Italian Institute of Culture of Paris. The event will address landscape, nature, and urban representations. What transformations have landscapes undergone in these last decades? What remains of post-war Italy? Corrado Augias, journalist and writer, will answer these questions and invites us to look closely at Italy’s artistic and cultural heritage. His latest essay, “Questa nostra Italia” (Einaudi, 2017) is a journey through our collective and personal memory. This work traces the history of Italian landscape, from the splendors of Venice to the palaces of Genoa, the beauty of the Tuscan countryside to the masterpieces of Naples and Palermo, and the labyrinths of Rome. Among the latest works by Augias translated into French are “Histoires secrètes de Paris: lieux oubliés, œuvres et personnages étonnants” (L’Express, 2013) and “Les 18 dernières heures de Jésus” (Tallandier, 2016).
