On Tuesday, May 15th (19:00) the Italian Institute of Culture in Paris will host the event “How has Italy changed? From the economic boom to the crisis”. “For this new series ‘How has Italy changed’ organised in collaboration with Sciences Po on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Italian Constitution, we are interested in the economic history of the Peninsula. After the financial crisis of 2008, the Italian economy seems to finally emerge from the recession, although unemployment rates remain high and the public debt is significant”, according to the IIC website. In order to draw up the stages of the metamorphosis of the productive structures of our country since the end of the Second World War and analyse the different aspects of our economy, the IIC has invited Giuseppe Berta, Professor of Contemporary History at Bocconi University and industrial and financial history specialist; and Marta Fana, author of “Non è lavoro, è sfruttamento” (Laterza, 2017) – a survey on job insecurity, moderated by Paolo Modugno (Sciences Po). (9colonne) Paolo Modugno (Sciences Po) will moderate the meeting. (9Colonne)
