Buenos Airs. A photographic exhibition that illustrates the incredible variety of Sicilian architectural and cultural heritage – among the primary cities in the world for diversity, heterogeneity, stylistic and cultural specificity. The exhibition, “Sicilia. Siti del patrimonio UNESCO” (Sicily. UNESCO World Heritage Sites), unfolds along the sites that have become part of the UNESCO World Heritage through Francesco Ferla’s photographs. “Sicily. The exhibition showcases Francesco Ferla’s photographs. The Italian Institute of Culture of Buenos Aires and the Villa Ocampo UNESCO Observatory were behind the organisation of the exhibition. The images range from the post-earthquake reconstruction of 1693 in the Val di Noto to the Valle dei Tempi in Agrigento; from baroque heritage, to the Arab-Norman architecture of Palermo; in a kaleidoscope of cultures, architectures, landscapes, and environments of a unique land. The viewer will thus have the unique possibility of enjoying a survey of UNESCO World Heritage sites in Sicily, characterised by the complexity and the elements that it consists of. The exhibition will be inaugurated on May 30th and can be visited until July 4th at the UNESCO Observatory VIlla Ocampo – Elortondo 1837, Béccar. (9Colonne)
