Madrid. The Italian Institute of Culture of Madrid collaborates with the “Quincena Musical de San Sebastián”, directed by Patrick Alfaya, now in its 79th edition, August 2nd to September 1st. It consists of 31 days and 11 cycles of activities that will take place in Donostia, Guipúzcoa, Álava, Navarra, and Iparralde. On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the death of Gioachino Rossini, the 79th Quincena Musical will present “L’Italiana in Algeri”, one of the most emblematic works of the Italian maestro, co-produced by Quincena Musical, the Teatro Colón of Buenos Aires and the San Lorenzo de El Escorial Festival.
