Barcelona. The performance of “Square, triangle, rectangle with distance” will take place on Thursday, July 26th in the Plaça de la Mercé in Barcelona from 19:30 to 20:45. It was organised by the Italian Cultural Institute and by Blue Project Foundation. The performance follows the curator Juan Canela’s talk which took place on July 5th at the Italian Institute of Culture in Barcelona and the 3-part reading for the Pavilion on July 12th at Pavello Mies van der Rohe with the Fundacio Mies van der Rohe of Barcelona. This public intervention concludes the artist Francesco Arena’s residency. “Square, triangle, rectangle with distance” as well as the 3-part reading for the Pavilion, was conceived by the artist in relation to the urban fabric of Barcelona. In “Square, triangle, rectangle with distance” three performers will walk in Plaça de la Mercé along three paths established by the artist inside the square, these three paths are of different geometric shapes – a square, a triangle and a rectangle.
