Istanbul. The exhibition “Mediterraneo” featuring works by Mimmo Jodice will remain open until August 31th at the Istanbul Archaeological Museums. The exhibition showcases forty works created strictly in strict black and white in the 1990s through which the great artist – one of the greatest contemporary photographers – leads us through a journey based on myth, memory, culture, and landscape of the great civilizations that have populated the Mediterranean basin. The project is overseen by the Scientific Committee of the Farnesina collection of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with the MART – Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto – and with the Cotroneo family, owners of the collection. The exhibition is part of the “Italy, Culture, Mediterranean”, cultural programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. (9Colonne)
