São Paulo – Thursday, September 13th at 20:30, Luca Velotti’s concert (clarinet, tenor sax, soprano sax) will be held at the Italian Institute of Culture in São Paulo, accompanied by his quartet composed of Gerardo Bartoccini (double bass), Michele Ariodante (7-string guitar, vocals), and Carlo Battisti (drums). The event was organised by the Italian Institute of Culture in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Brasilia and the Italian Consulate in São Paulo and will be held at the Tupi or not Tupi – Rua Fidalga 360, Vila Madalena. Velotti will present his latest project, titled “Moonray”. It is inspired by the song by Artie Shaw – a musical journey, where original pieces mix with a personal and contemporary reinterpretation of Armstrong, Bechet, Goodman’s jazz, and the great American composers, such as Hoagy Carmichael, and Duke Ellington.
