Moscow. The Milan Moscow 2018 Salone del Mobile was inaugurated on October 10th in Moscow by Italian Ambassador to Russia, Pasquale Terracciano. The International design and furnishings fair for Russia and countries of the former CIS area, known as “iSaloni WorldWide Moscow” changes its name starting this year, underlining an identity that merges with Moscow and Milan. 280 Italian companies will be present, highlighting the importance of the sector for Italy – the world’s second largest exporter of furnishings to Russia, according to the Italian Embassy website. “Italian design should also be brought out of the big cities of Russia and into the Regions of the Federation where there is a lot of demand from Italy” Ambassador Terracciano stated at the end of the event.
