Ljubljana – The Italian movie poster, born in 1907, has been for over half a century an important means of communication in direct contact with the audience, contributing, thanks to its evocative capacity, to successes or failures of outgoing films. The exhibition “The Great Beauty: 50 years of Italian cinema through posters” is a selection of 40 original posters of that period, coming from an enormous archive, puts first movie posters of the “Italian comedy” and works by acclaimed Italian directors and rewarded at international festivals. Curated by the Dioniso Cultural Association of Milan, and organized by the Italian Cultural Institute in Slovenia on the occasion of the Italian Culture Week, the exhibition can be visited until January 13th on the third floor of the Oton Zupancic Library in Ljubljana.
