Yakutsk – On January 9th at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Peoples of the Republic of Sakha (Russia) a government meeting was held with the Italian marathon runner Paolo Venturini, who arrived in the capital Yakutsk to run an extreme marathon along the Oymyakon-Tomtor route . Oymyakon is known for being the inhabited area with the lowest temperatures ever recorded, reaching -71.2 ° C in 1926. This is not the Italian runner’s first visit to Yakutia. In February of last year, he completed a test at -40 ° C. Paolo Venturini’s team will arrive in Yakutsk on January 15th, but for now the Italian extreme runner adapts to the local time and climate. Paolo Venturini will make a heroic attempt in the “Monster Frozen” project with the support of the Government of the Republic of Sakha, as well as representatives of Italian diplomacy in Russia and Italian police, to which Paolo Venturini belongs. A documentary will be dedicated to the project, whose shooting has already begun. The work will be broadcast on Italian and international national channels and will also be shown at several film festivals. (9Colonne)
