Basel – A film dedicated to Gian Maria Volonté will be held in Basel from 1 to 27 February. The great actor, who died in 1994, was an interpreter of current events and history, famous men and simple people. Unforgettable films will be presented including “Sacco and Vanzetti”, “The Working Class goes to Heaven” and “Il caso Mattei” (The Mattei Affair). The screenings will be in Italian with subtitles in German and French or English. The kermesse was organised by Stadtkino Basel in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture in Zurich.
