Sofia – The opera “La Gatta” (Kotkata) by the Italian composer Massimiliano Matesic, was presented for the first time in Bulgaria at the Sofia Opera House, during the season dedicated to young people. The work – as stated on the website of the Italian Embassy in Sofia – was a great success and aroused great enthusiasm among the spectators who filled the Theatre Chamber. The Italian Ambassador in Sofia, Stefano Baldi, who participated in the premiere, congratulated the maestro Matesic and the author of the libretto and director Vera Nemirova. (9Colonne)
