(6 Feb) Imesa spa, a Schiavoni Group company leader in the electro-technical industry, will supply the electrical panels for the Osx refinery-ship off the Brazilian coast. The Italian company won a contract for one million euro in partnership with leading international oil & gas offshore industries, developing a highly competitive proposal. An FPSO vessel (Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading) requires large amounts of energy and very specific technical equipment to process crude oil. For this purpose Imesa studied a special type of electrical panels for the main distribution, explains Sergio Schiavoni, president of the group: “This is the most secure and powerful panel ever made by Imesa; we built a high-performance panel in the ship, keeping it ‘small-sized’, only 21 meters. The ability to respond to specific needs so adequately and quickly, places us among the leading manufacturers of electrical panels”. In the Imesa laboratories in Jesi (Ancona) are testing the electrical panel; delivery is scheduled within the end of March. (Caf)
