(Feb 22) – A journey down memory lane, from the sulphur mines in Sicily to the coal mines in Belgium, through the moments that unified Italy and Belgium. ‘Sotto Terra – foto, musica e film delle miniere’ (Under the Earth – photos, music and film about mines) is the initiative launched in Brussels by ‘La vita è Belga’(Life is Belgian), association of Italian culture, which will be held February 26th starting at “Le Fonograf”. During the evening will be on display photos by Salvo Sportato – young Sicilian photographer who lives in Brussels – about the sulphur mines in Sicily, and will be screened ‘Dallo zolfo al carbone’ (From sulphur to coal), a documentary by the Sicilian director Luca Vullo, winner of several awards. Not only photography and cinema, but also musical moments with the songwriter Giacomo Lariccia and Nisia, a duo formed by Vincent Noiret and Emanuela Lodato. (Roc)
