(Apr. 23) Engineering and energy industries from Apulia fly at ‘Hannover Messe’ to exploit the opportunities of the exhibition which is the leading platform for innovative technologies. From today until April 27, ground-breaking innovations will be represented in eight flagship fairs. The event is promoted by the Department of International Affairs of the Apulia with the operational support of the Sprint, the Regional Desk for the internationalization of enterprises, and in collaboration with the Apulian Engineering District and the Apulian Renewable Energy District ‘La nuova Energia’. The exhibition space of the region will be available to companies for business meetings with foreign operators. Even if it’s the first year that the Apulia participates in this event with the result that it has become one of the most important Italian production in the German market. In this sector, exports from Apulia to Germany in 2011 reached 221.7 million euros, while the total value of exports in all sectors has exceeded 877 million euros. Also the interest in development of renewable energy unites Apulia and Germany, since the Italian region occupies the first place for photovoltaics, the second for wind power and the third for biomass. These are the basis to make Hannover Messe a significant opportunity for companies from Puglia. (Red/Peg)
