(Apr. 25) – Renewable energy and biofuels are the the subject of a technical and scientific cooperation between Brazil and the University of Perugia. The collaboration is part of an agreement between Italy and Brazil, reinforced by an institutional journey made in South America by Corrado Clini, Minister of Environment. The visit, in early April, aimed to favor the exchange of experience and business relationships in the field of green economy. And following that exchange, Jose Moreira, a Brazilian professor at the University of Sao Paulo, will be in Perugia tomorrow, showing to engineers and researchers a report on the application of renewable energy sources in Brazil. Among the first results achieved with the agreement between Italy and Brazil, there is the experiment ‘Green Embassy’ in Brasilia. The project data will be collected and presented at the International Conference Rio +20, to be held in Rio de Janeiro next June. (Red/Peg)
