(May 8) – The power and mercy of the Great Leviathan, the scandalous mermaid Pryntyl born from the pen of Louis-Ferdinand Celine, the octopus in love searching of its beloved, the terrifying white whale, the obstinacy of Captain Ahab, the desperate cry of Job, the spear of Achilles, the eternal present of the nymph Calypso, the prophecy of Tiresias, the deception between Ulysses and Penelope, the siren song. In short, the whole “stormy imagination” (as defined by Mojo) of Vinicio Capossela and his latest work “Marinai, profeti e balene”. And the Italian singer-songwriter will start tonight his European tour playing in Zurich, at the Volkshaus. Then he will be on show in Berlin on May 10, and Brussels, Amsterdam, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, ending in London on May 26. The tour follows the release of his last CD “Marinai, profeti e balene” in eight European countries: Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, Spain, Portugal, France, UK and Germany. The double album, out in Italy in 2011 and winner of the Platinum Album and the Premio Tenco, will be released in Europe in different edition, with new track-list and booklet and with lyrics translated in English and French. The live performance will be a unique and exciting show, with Capossela leading his “crew” on board of a “musical vessel”. (Roc/Red)
