(Jun. 12) – The headquarters of Trentino Marketing, in Trento, hosted a press conference for the presentation of the Luserna football team , which will participate to “Europeada 2012”, a major sport event to be held in Germany from June 16 to 24. Known as Europeada, this the European Football Championship for Linguistic Minorities is organized by Fuen, Federal Union of European Nationalities, the Europe-wide organization that protects and promotes linguistic minorities of the continent, and Domowina (Union of Lusatian Sorbs), in collaboration with the government of Saxony and the Ministry of the Interior of Germany. The president of FC Lusern, Lorenzo Baratter, together with coach Giacomo Gasperi and a delegation of fifteen players, has thanked organizations and institutions supporting the participation of the team in the event: the Autonomous Province of Trento, Regione Trentino Alto Adige, the Vice President of the Regional Council, Trentino Marketing, Comune di Luserna, the Magnifica Comunità degli Altipiani Cimbri, the Centro Documentazione Luserna – Dokumentationszentrum Lusérn and the Kulturinstitut Lusérn – Istituto Cimbro di Luserna. He highligted the importance of this event as an extraordinary opportunity for young people from Luserna and an occasion to show the region of Trentino and all its different languages. (Red)
