(Jun. 14) – New technologies, sustainable mobility, clean energy, tourism and wine are the fulcrum of the Trentino’s promotional mission in Moscow, led by Lorenzo Dallai, President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, and attended by the heads of Trentino Marketing, Fbk, Trento Rise and a group of entrepreneurs to explore the possibilities offered by the Russian market. As first, the delegation met with Steven Geiger, Director General of the Foundation Skolkovo, the pole-district born in 2009 as a Russian Silicon Valley. The main topic of the meeting with Steven Geiger was to create a partnership between the European Institute of Technology (EIT), which has a co-location center in Trento, and the District of Stolkovo. A EIT off-center base could be created in Skolkovo with the help of researchers from Trentino and Russian graduate students, and with obvious mutual benefits. Later Dallai met Antonio Fallico, President of Zao Banca Intesa Russia, the first Italian bank in the country. Fallico has recently launched Conoscere Eurasia, a company based in Verona to develop economic and cultural relations mostly between Italy and Russia. Fallico and Dellai discussed the possibility of initiatives to promote business initiatives from Trentino in sectors such as Green Energy and Agribusiness. Together with Ambassador Antonio Zanardi Landi, Dellai participated in the event “I vini del Trentino: eccellenza italiana nel cuore delle Dolomiti” and met the press to present Trentino as a tourist destination, that already attracts 30000 visitors per year from Russia.(red)
