(Jun. 26) – Consul General Cantini has inaugurated today together with Prime Minister Fayyad the Yatta Municipality Community Centre, which will provide services to the most marginalized groups, particularly people with disabilities funded by the Italian Government through the “Palestinian Municipalities Support Program” (PMSP).The community centre has been inaugurated together with the Dynamometer Station which represents the incoming generating project which will provide resources for sustaining the Community Center Activities. The opening ceremony was also attended the Palestinian Minister of Local Government, Mr. Khaled Qawasmi, the Hebron Governor, Mr. Kamel Hemid and the Mayor of Yatta Mr. Zahran Abu Qbeita. Yatta Community Centre is one of the six Municipality Centres included in the Social Development Strategy designed by the Palestinian Municipalities Support Program (PMSP) in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Local Government (MoLG), Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) and in partnership with Italian Municipalities. The Centre falls within the scope of the Memorandum of Understanding signed last March 17th in Idna between Minister of Local Government Qawasmi and the Minister of Social Affairs Al Masri who have agreed to work together in order to develop high quality services for people with disabilities in the six Municipalities involved by the PMSP Social Development Strategy (Jericho, Beit Fajjar, Halhul, Idna, Samoua and Yatta).
