(Jul. 18) – “The quality of agri-food production is an issue that has to be central in economic and social policies to create an economic growth”, said Italian Minister of Labor, Elsa Fornero, after the greetings from the Italian Ambassador Attilio Massimo Iannucci. The speech of Minister Fornero opened the works of the FoodSafety Forum in China, a project within the Programma Mae-Regioni-China (Mae Program-Regions-China), also participated by Catiuscia Marini, President of Regione Umbria, which is leader of the Program. The forum took place at the Italian embassy in Beijing. “Umbria’s agricultural and agri-food policies – said President Marini in her speech – are oriented to privilege an integrated and global approach bringing security and food quality in relation to economic, ecological and ethic aspects of the productions .” (Red)
