(Jul. 31) – Colorful, beautiful, attractive. So look works by Lara Atzori and Piercarlo Carella, young but already appreciated Italian artists that in these days are drawing on two walls in the old town of Helsingør, Denmark. The murals will represent the golden age of Helsingør, when the town flourished with the influx of foreigners and duties paid by ships passing through the narrow Strait of Øresund, off Castle Kronborg. Grew in craft traditions of the Florentine School, both artists master the style of classical realism: Lara Atzori with a more traditional touch, Piercarlo Carella with a vein of surreal expression. In addition to creating unique works, which are placed in dialogue with cultural institutions, public roads and historic buildings of Helsingør, the City Council also expresses its hope that the works of Atzori and Carella could be the inspiration for Danish artists in the field of mural paintings. The initiative is organized in collaboration with the Museum of the city of Helsingør, the Cathedral and the Sct. Mariækirke. (red)
