(Aug. 20) On August 25, be ready to be charmed by Fabio Vacchi’s music, especially composed for the city of Bahia Blanca, southeast of Buenos Aires. Indeed, the Chamber of the Buenos Aires Province has defined his composition of legislative interest. And the Italian General Consulate has taken care of organizing this world premier. Fabio Vacchi is one of the most important contemporary Italian composers, and he has already written numerous pieces for the Scala Theater in Milan, and others, such as Claudio Abbado and the Berliner Festwochen, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Boston Musica Viva Ensemble, and the Tokyo String Quartet. He also produces the musical score to Ermanno Olmi’s films.
