(Aug. 21) Vitol and Eni signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ghana government, its Energy Ministry, and the state-owned Ghana National Petroleum Corporation in order to develop and commercialize the recently discovered gas reserves in the Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP), near the Tano Basin. OCTP is owned by 47.2% by Eni, while 37.7% belongs to Vitol and the remaining 15% is owned by the GNCP. In fact, the MOU underlines the main points for the future development and commercialization of the present gas. Indeed, particular attention is given to the gas market in Ghana, which is expanding and will become the main market for the gas.
