(Sept. 6) – In the United States it has become a real event, with lots of bookings that within a few weeks have passed all expectations of the young Italian start-up. Despite the spending review, everyone from New York to Los Angele seems to be crazy about “Ghost Wire” by IDTech Italia, a jewel of Italian design that gets rid of the myriad of wires and cables needed to connect the TV to decoder, dvd, game consoles and more, restoring harmony to a living room. The idea, to be presented at the 2012 Maison et Objet in Paris from tomorrow and until next Tuesday, born from the creativity and courage of Alessandro Vaturi, a young Italian who has considered all the myriad of complaints from friends and relatives affected by the “cable-phobia” generated by the dangling wires coming out of the TV. Vaturi left his job as a financial analyst in a prestigious financial institution in London to give birth to this start-up and launch on the market what is already defined as the last jewel of Italian style. “Ghost Wire combines the attention to design with a technological vocation,” said Vaturi himself. “It is the synthesis of the best you can think of to decorate your house: Italian design, quality craftsmanship and functional technology. It comes to say stop to TV furniture and to fight the ‘cable-phobia’ that affects all those who do not like wires dangling around the living room.” (red)
