Oct. 24 – The 4th edition of Hit Week, the greatest Italian music festival abroad, just came to an end in Los Angeles. This year, the Festival headed to Canada for the very first time, bringing excellent Italian music both to the US and their northern neighbors: Subsonica, Negrita, Alessandro Mannarino, with Emma Re, Boom Da Bash and Mama Marjas as supporting acts. Accompanying the famous artists were the band Follow The Mad, who won the musical contest, and the chef Omar di Santo, who won the cooking competition. Considering the audience numbers, the 4th edition has been the most successful edition of Hit Week so far. The Festival adds a new destination each year, thus expanding the public receptive to Italian culture. Hit Week will soon fly to South America, before heading back to China, where it already rocked the scene last May. In 2013, honoring the Year of Italian Culture in the United States, Hit Week will prepare an even bigger event, proposing the best of Italian music in different genres. Enzo Mazza, President of FIMI, explains, “Hit Week will continue to grow thanks to the attention received by institutions and various professional realities in the United States. In LA, there was an incredible affluence at the Cultural Center, including members of the Californian show business.”
