Oct. 26 – Parmacotto, leading cold cuts firm from Parma, was granted a €3million loan from BNP Paribas to proceed with its expansion plans in the Germany, the UK and the USA. The grant will be used to sustain the expansion costs of the international commercial network, promotional activities, and the participation in international fairs. Active for the past 30 years and more in processing meat and cheese, Parmacotto has 5 establishments between Parma and Siena. Its current diversification strategy includes branching out into different countries, effectively increasing its exports in Europe and the United States for a value of 16%. Also, since 2008, Parmacotto opened a series of restaurant-shops in Italy, New York and Paris. SACE, the Agency for the promotion of regional firms with its offices set in Modena, confirms its engagement alongside Parmacotto to penetrate into foreign markets, supplying guidance and aid – including providing further loans if necessary – to see the firm grow on the international market.
