Nov. 1 – Magneti Marelli has just opened a new industrial plant in India dedicated to the production of car exhaust systems. The new industrial site was realized by Skh Magneti Marelli Exhaust Systems Pvt Ltd, a joint venture between Magneti Marelli and Skh Metals Limited (part of the Krishna Group) established in 2008. The plant is inside the Maruti Suzuki Supplier Park, in Manesar, near Gurgaon and only a few chilometers from New Delhi. The industrial structure is over 8000 square chilometers, of which 4500 covered and dedicated to the production of Hot End components, as well as Cold End ones. It is estimated that the production capacity will be of 400.000 Cold End components per year and of 150.000 Hot End systems with 100 employees supervising the process. This establishment takes the place of another structure built in 2009 in a nearby area, and will satisfy the enlargement and modernization needs of the whole site. In fact, it will allow an increase in production of Cold End components while guaranteeing the maintenance of other production activities.
