Nov. 13 – How to make Warsaw fall in love with the flavors of Toma, Robiola and Barolo? It seems an easy matter for Piedmont, which will bring to Poland the best of its culinary tradition. The event is scheduled for today at the Mamaison Hotel Le Regina, one of Warsaw’s most charming hotels. Journalists and professionals can take part in a real course on how to match DOP cheeses and wines, all rigorously from Savoy. The idea came to Assopiemonte DOP and IGP (the association representing the 6 Consortia of cheeses carrying the Protected Designation of Origin brand reserved to Piedmont), in partnership with Fedagri Piedmont and Ima Piedmont (Institute of Agricultural and Food Marketing). The reporter Wojtek Bonkowski (editor of the Polish-led international wines) will lead his countrymen in the discovery of Italian flavors at the event. The objective of Assopiemonte PDO and PGI is to disseminate their products abroad. In fact, the event of Warsaw follows a similar initiative carried out in Luxembourg.
