Dec. 20 – ICE is organizing the 42nd Italian Fashion Exhibition in Japan, to be held in Tokyo from 29 to 31 January 2013. The event will present the autumn-winter 2013-2014 collections for men, women, children and leather and fashion accessories. According to 2011 ISTAT data, Japan is the 9th target market and 2nd in Asia for Italian fashion exports. Indeed, Italy is the third clothing supplier (2.5% share) after China and Vietnam. The “Italian Fashion” Exhibition was founded in 1992, and it is the only event exclusively dedicated to Italian fashion in Japan, presenting a total of more than 140 companies and hosting approximately 2,000 visitors. Beyond presenting current trends in fashion and accessories, the exhibition is also held in conjunction with Shoes from Italy, dedicated to footwear. The two combined initiatives aim to promote on the Japanese market those medium-to-high quality range Italian products.
