Jan. 2 – From Jan. 10-13, the Enit Agency in Vienna will participate in the Ferien Messe through the Abruzzo, Marche, and Umbria regions, as well as the Brescia Province. Other regions decided to attend independently of Enit’s presence, but will have their stands close by. Ferien Messe is one of Vienna’s international fairs, with 70 participating countries and 800 exhibitors from all over the world. In 2012, over 150.000 people visited the event. For this year, Enit will invite tour operators, travel agencies and journalists to visit the Italian stand and enhance communication between the Italian offer and the Austrian demand. Indeed, Italy remains one of Austria’s favorite destinations, with 1,9 million people crossing the border, for a total of 8,5 million overnight stays. In the first nine months of 2012, according to Statistik Austria, there have been 1.720.000 vacation trips to Italy, with a 7% incresse compared to the same period of 2011.
