Jan. 18 – The Prosciutto di Parma Consortium will participate at the Winter Fancy Food Fair to be held in San Francisco between January 20 and Januart 22 in the Moscone Center. The initiative is part of a larger project, “Legends from Europe,” that completed yesterday its second year of activities. The project was sponsored by the European Union and the Italian Government in conjunction, with other important national protected producers (Parmigiano-Reggiano, Grana Padano, Montasio, and San Daniele), to promote national gastronomic products on U.S. soil. “We believe that by participating in international events of this type can help strengthen our presence in the area; when potential customers compare our products with the local ones, ours generally perform better,” said Paolo Tanara, President of the Consortium. “This year we are particularly proud to be at the Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco. We have had excellent results in the United States, where most extra-EU Prosciutto di Parma exports are directed.”
