Jan. 22 – The Chamber of Commerce of Salerno partakes in the 44th edition of Boot, happening in Düsseldorf, Germany, until 27 January, with a group of 12 companies specialized in the sector. The exhibition and fair is one of the main events of the marine industry in Europe and, for the 2013 edition, 1,650 exhibitors from 50 countries are attending to present their new products and services in the field of recreational boating and water sports. Also this year, the Chamber of Commerce of Salerno has set up two distinct areas (for a total of 100 square meters) to better meet the display requirements of the operators. “The marine industry is one to which the Chamber of Commerce of Salerno looks to and aims at,” states, on the Chamber’s website, its President Guido Arzano, “not only because the province of Salerno, with over 200 km of coastline, is naturally endowed with scenic beauty as well as numerous well-equipped ports, but also because it is animated by a particularly dynamic entrepreneurial activity. Indeed, it is to the latter that the Council of the Chamber gave special attention to ensure that the sector could become an engine for the growth of the local economy. This was made possible thanks to the recent approval of the new regulation on contributions’ admission to encourage the flow of nautical tourism in the province of Salerno.”
